Silver Sun Slivers by marge. 10 of 30 April Poems.

I opened the bedroom curtains
Early this morning to see silver slivers
On the cold sea.

In the sky above, the sun was fighting
Its way through the dark clouds
Above the dark, deep sea.

Suddenly there was a breakthrough
The sky was all red and gold,
The sun was rising.

As the sun broke through,
The silver slivers suddenly
Turned to gold.

The sun had risen,
Birds we were waking up
Peoples’ day was starting.
I went back to bed.
