If you say “Ambulance”.
The next voice says
“Is the patient breathing?”
It is a split second that the
Call Handler has to decide
how serious your problem is.
Do you really need an Ambulance?
When my husband was ill,
when we were in the Ambulance
the Driver said to me
“We are going now and going
Fast, hold on love”
The ride to Pinderfields, from
where we live is usually a
45-minutee drive, this one was
done in twenty minutes!
The speed,
the Blue Flashing
lights, made it a frightening
experience. I marvelled at the
way peak time traffic parted
like the Red Sea.
You will want to know -
that my husband survived
his life and death experience.
BUT it was not without that
999 call - he would not!
